Owner of MONEYTUR Incoming Travel Agency in Argentina for almost 30 years, Master in Tourism, Silvia Yafar has held several positions in different institutions related to tourism and has been a professor at the National University of San Juan. 

Extensive activity in the promotion of San Juan destination in Argentina and in international trade fairs.

She was initially a member of Skål International Mendoza due to proximity, as there was no Club in San Juan. She then decided to re-found Skål International San Juan and began this task by recruiting professionals from the tourism sector in San Juan, giving talks, doing interviews, and calling meetings to spread the benefits of Skål International. The official constitution came on July 1, 2020, being the first Skål International Club formed in pandemic in the world. 

San Juan had a great Club that, for different reasons, was inactive for 30 years. Then, with the intact memory of so many moments lived by my parents who belonged to that generation, I wanted to re-establish it and we did it! Today the Club has 14 members plus 3 recent additions. In June of this year, we took the big leap when we decided to take the responsibility of organizing the Annual Congress of Skål International Argentina, which had record attendance and a great repercussion, where in addition to fraternizing and having networking spaces among the Skålleagues attending, it was possible to spread the tourist offer of San Juan. 

For me it is an honor to belong to Skål International, which I consider a prestigious institution in the world of tourism.

When I am asked to define Skål International, I always say that it is a meeting place for professionals who, within friendship and fraternity, can promote great ideas that transcend their work and help the communities in which they operate. 

The members have that sparkle in their eyes of those who generously donate their time, convinced of being able to spread goodness from the hand of the activity. Being entrepreneurs of tourism literally connects us with a wide range of people in a transversal way, and within Skål International we can afford the luxury of enjoying so many connections not only to do business, but also for the most primordial thing in life: to create human bonds. 

The pandemic showed us and made real evidence of human finiteness, and that affection is what can save us in every sense. Skål International is that place where I look at others and I see: work, dignity, openness, humility and the desire to enjoy. There is a lot to do, the road is easy and it is made easier with people who feel the same way. 

We signed an agreement within the framework of the National Congress of San Juan, Argentina, between Skål International and the Anchipurac Environmental Center for forestation and care of the environment. We urge to continue in this line of care of the environment and to join wills in this sense.
